How much stronger is the toughness of POF shrink film compared to other material

POF shrink film has significant advantages in toughness compared to other materials, which are specifically reflected in the following aspects:
Compared with PVC shrink film: PVC shrink film is hard and brittle, with uneven thickness and low strength. It is prone to cracking in low-temperature environments, thus easily breaking during transportation. In contrast, POF shrink film is thin and tough, with uniform thickness, high tensile strength, and great tear resistance. Data shows that the tear resistance of POF shrink film is much higher than that of PVC, and its tear resistance under the same conditions may be several times that of PVC shrink film. Moreover, POF shrink film remains soft at -50°C and does not become brittle.
Compared with PE shrink film: Although PE shrink film also has certain flexibility and tear resistance, its overall tear resistance is lower than that of POF. Due to the special co-extrusion process and material formula used in POF shrink film, such as using linear low-density polyethylene as the middle layer, its resistance to rubbing is better. In practical applications, POF shrink film can operate stably on higher-speed production lines and adapt to more complex packaging operations. In contrast, the shrinkage rate adjustability of PE shrink film is relatively poor. In scenarios where shrinkage accuracy and toughness are highly demanded, the advantages of POF shrink film are more prominent.
Compared with PET shrink film: PET shrink film has high mechanical strength and tensile resistance, but its hardness is relatively high and its flexibility is relatively poor. In packaging scenarios that require frequent bending or have specific softness requirements, the flexibility advantage of POF shrink film becomes evident. When subjected to external force impacts, PET shrink film is more prone to cracking or scratches, while POF shrink film can better absorb and disperse external forces, reducing the possibility of damage.
